Brothers together in the stands at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte

01About NC Epsilon

Rooted in principle. Built at Charlotte.

The North Carolina Epsilon Chapter brings Phi Delta Theta’s values to UNC Charlotte through brotherhood, leadership, learning, service, and a commitment to becoming better men.

01Our chapter

Thirteen brothers in blazers and white shirts standing arm in arm

A brotherhood built for Charlotte.

Phi Delta Theta arrived at UNC Charlotte as a colony in December 2013. On March 20, 2015, 44 Founding Fathers signed The Bond and North Carolina Epsilon was formally installed.

The chapter was built to give men at UNC Charlotte a brotherhood grounded in meaningful friendship and personal growth. That purpose has not changed: NC Epsilon continues to challenge its members to participate, lead, serve, and contribute to the university community.

03Since 1848

A tradition larger than any one chapter.

Phi Delta Theta was founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on December 26, 1848 by six students who came to be known as the Immortal Six. From the beginning, the Fraternity has been guided by Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude. Those principles continue to define what it means to be a Phi.

04What guides us

Three principles, one standard.

  1. I

    Friendship

The strongest brotherhoods are built through shared experience and a commitment to showing up for one another — in the ordinary weeks as much as the memorable ones.

  2. II

    Sound Learning

Growth extends well beyond the classroom. Phi Delts pursue knowledge, leadership, and the practical skills that hold their value long after graduation.

  3. III

    Rectitude

Character is the difference between a chapter and a group of friends. We hold one another to honesty, responsibility, and doing the right thing when it costs something.

05Chapter leadership

Led by brothers. Built for the chapter.

NC Epsilon is operated by undergraduate leaders responsible for the chapter’s direction, standards, programming, finances, recruitment, and member experience.
